General description
Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) is the most common leukaemia in the Western world and has a highly variable disease course. The International prognostic index for patients with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL-IPI) integrates genetic, biological and clinical variables to stratify patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) into 4 risk groups with different prognostic implications and thus facilitates therapeutic decisions.
The CLL-IPI is a part of the ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines for diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with CLL.
