General description
The qSOFA is quick score that may identify patients with suspected infection who are at greater risk for a poor in-hospital outcome (outside the intensive care unit). The qSOFA simplifies the SOFA score by only including three clinical criteria. The score ranges from 0 to 3 points. The presence of 2 or more qSOFA points was associated with a greater risk of death or prolonged intensive care unit stay.
